I am a behavioural and animal ecologist interested in ecological consequences of individual behavioural differences. I hold a venia legendi in Behavioural Ecology at the University of Potsdam, Germany. Since 2022 I am professor for Behavioural Biology at the University of Münster, Germany.
As a trained behavioural and animal ecologist and keen naturalist, I hold scientific expertise in animal ecology, behavioural ecology, life history, and community ecology particularly in mammals.
My research projects are interdisciplinary, incorporating behavioural biology, cognition, evolution and ecology. They involve long-term field studies in Madagascar, Canada and Germany and controlled experiments under natural, semi-natural and laboratory conditions in Germany and France.
